After a foundation has been established, it may at some point be necessary or desirable to make certain modifications, such as organisational adjustments – or perhaps even an amendment of the purpose of the foundation.
Swiss law distinguishes between organisational modifications, changes to a foundation’s purpose and so-called minor amendments to the foundation charter. All these changes require the submission of a respective request to the supervisory authority responsible for foundations. The rules governing modifications can be more or less restrictive depending on the nature of the change requested.
We assist you in deciding whether you need to make changes to your foundation, and we also help you determine which changes can actually be made, or even should be made. We then help you structure your changes and offer support throughout the entire change process.
