Intellectual Property (IP)

There are various ways to protect IP. Along with the largely automatic protection afforded to works of art and music, IP can, depending on its nature, be protected by patents, trademarks and design rights. All of these can be crucial for a successful business development. Furthermore, there is the need to create an effective IP strategy. This in turn requires research to be conducted on existing rights, whereby the ownership situation and the entitlement to such rights needs to be examined and clarified. Once this has been done, a specific strategy should be employed when submitting applications to the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property or to competent IP rights’ authorities abroad.

Our IP experts have a broad range of experience in their field and can develop a tailored IP strategy. Subsequent, our team of specialised paralegals will implement that strategy in a cost-effective manner.
