Thomas Nagel is an associate in the Banking & Finance Team. His main areas of practice include corporate and commercial law as well as financial market regulation.

Born in 1990, Thomas Nagel was educated at the University of Bern (BLaw 2013, MLaw 2014, Dr. iur. 2019) and at the Université de Nantes (2013). Before his admission to the bar, he worked as a law clerk at the bilingual District Court Berner Jura-Seeland in Biel, as Trainee at a Big Four Company in Zurich and at a renowned law firm in Bern. Thomas Nagel was admitted to the bar in 2017. Prior to joining Walder Wyss, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Economic Law at the University of Bern and wrote a comparative dissertation on the scope of the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act. Since 2020, he has been teaching Compliance & Corporate Governance at the Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences (FFHS). During his time at Walder Wyss, he also worked full-time for five months as a secondee in the legal department of a Swiss bank in Zurich.

Thomas Nagel's professional languages are German, English and occasionally also French. He is registered with the Zurich Bar Registry and admitted to practice in all Switzerland.
